Depending on where you are, you can see some of the most poisonous
snakes of the world in their natural habitats. You can tell a poisonous snake
from non-poisonous ones by their fangs. The poisonous snakes have two fangs
that are hollow, which work the same as a needle does. As the snake bites into
the skin, the hollow fangs release the venomous poison into the body. If you
see hollow holes in the skin, a poisonous snake has bitten you.
The largest poisonous snake in the United States is the Eastern
Diamondback Rattlesnake. The venom from this snake is very toxic. The
Massasauga Rattlesnake is so toxic that its bites are always fatal. All types
of Rattlesnakes are poisonous and have that distinctive rattle sound made by
their tails.
The Copperhead is another venomous snake that is mildly toxic. The
fatality rate when bitten by this snake is unknown, but very unlikely. The bite
from this snake however is very painful. The Cottonmouth is more venomous than
the Copperhead even though they are related. This snakes bite can cause tissue
destruction. The southern part of the United States has a large amount of
recorded bites from these particular snakes.

the Krait. In Australasia, you can find the Copperhead, Death Adder, Taipan,
and the Tiger snake. Poisonous snakes should always be avoided at all costs.
